Mpowered Events, LLC was officially launched by Julia Thompson in Bellevue, Washington in 2007 after initial formulation of the concept in 2005. In addition to being the founder, Julia serves as President leading all aspects of the social venture. The concept for MPowered Events was created by Julia Thompson and her friend Danielle Vellon in 2005 as they were entering High School. As middle school graduates of an all girls private school, they realized the power of mobilizing young women to help those less privileged achieve success in education. At the same time, working at events hosted by their parents introduced them to the service business. In high school the creative merger of their aspirations with this experience led to the development of MPowered Events, LLC. Julia and Danielle will enter college in the Fall of 2009 at the same time as the recipient of the first MPowered Scholarship. MPowered Events provides the sevices that ensure the success of your party or special event and donates all profits towards the funding of scholarships for underprivileged young women seeking a college education.
